Rossendale Round Table celebrated its 47th Charter Night at Ashday Lea, Rawtenstall.

Anil Joshi, Chairman, is pictured above with Norman Prince, guest speaker, and Umar Memon, Vice Chairman.

Over 50 guests enjoyed a delicious 5 course meal, good wine, and great fellowship.

Norman Prince, formerly of the Houghton Weavers, and now of Radio Lancashire, gave an hilarious comedic after dinner speech. All the guests were in stitches of laughter throughout his speech.

This night will be well remembered in the annals of Rossendale Round Table history.

Anil Joshi recounted the year to date, and informed the audience that Rossendale Round Table had raised over £10,000 for good causes in the last 12 months. This included £5,000 raised for the Tsunami Appeal.

Eric Filbin, Area 34 Vice Chairman, was another guest speaker on the night. Eric congratulated Rossendale Round Table on its enthusisasm, and dedication to Table values. Eric was particularly pleased with the increase in new members Rossendale Round Table has attracted over the last couple of years.
