Rossendale Causes PDF Print E-mail

Rossendale Round Table consists of local men who meet regularly to socialise, and help the local community. We were part of the founding committee of the Rossendale Bike Show, and we help each year with the marshalling of this famous Rossendale event.

Another annual event is the local collection for Children In Need. We stop the traffic at Tup Bridge on St Mary's Way (near the new Rossendale Asda) in the morning and evening. Last year we collected over £2500 for Children In Need, thanks to the generosity of local Rossendale people.

There are many other ways in which we help the local community. We use our diy skills to help other Rossendale organisations, such as scout groups and community halls. Recently we helped with the refurbishment of the 38th Rossendale (Open) Scout Group Hall and kitchens. One of our members, Simon Dawson, is now working full time with the 38th Rossendale Scouts and is part of their committee.

Below you can see a couple of Rossendale Round Table members, along with the Friends of Rossendale 38th Scouts help lay the path during their restoration weekend.
